P.S. the other campgrounds charge 5.50 a person to go into for day use. Such as the springs and what not.
Ok campground to stay at it is primitive so it wasn't really my thing. The other thing is you can expect people to be riding their ATV's/ 4X4's all throughout the night here so you will need to take that into consideration. Good for young crowds may not be good for families.
My visit on Feb 1 2017, was a great time, the camp grounds was very clean, had vault toilets (3 or 4). 13 camping spots with large trailer size driveways and plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. At the time of my visit there was a camp host. i saw a water pump at the campground on the east side not sure if it is usable.
Gorgeous Forrest and nice camping. No showers though.
Great (and free for backpackers!) spot for overnighting while hiking the Florida Trail. Hikers can find water here.
A lot of trails allow utv(side by side) and jeeps.
Lake Delancy , west is a primitive camp ground . It has vault bath rooms , no running water , ( there is a hand pump on east side , when working. ) Lots of shade trees . great for RV's and tents . Must have generator for power. Rated 3 stars because the forestry Dept should install running water and electrical hook ups. Many come to campground but fail to return because of no water or electric. They even have problems keeping camp host here because of this problem. Some people come and don't pay because NO camp host or any one to watch. But great campground for atving . You can ride right out the campground and ride the trails. Great fishing up at the Dam , ( couple miles ). Great sand trails for OHV's.
As far as the trails. very sandy. my kids cheap Chinese 125 cc 4 wheeler had a rough time getting thou alot of it. could have just been the young driver (4). trails are basic and all easy to get thou. nothing to crazy. plan about 2 days of riding.
