We love this place. We've tried other locations, but we seem to always end up back here.
On the fun side, you'll see a lot of deer, turkeys, coons, squirrels, various birds and hear numerous owls.
Be wary of poisonous snakes. Learn to identify each one in whatever region you camp.
There are bathrooms and showers, fire pits and picinic tables. Other than these items, you are in the wild.
Wonderful place. We had a great time in the water watching the fish and snorkeling down the cracks from where the springs water comes out. Water as clear as glass .
Bring plenty of Deep Woods Off bug spray. One can per person per three day period.
$6 a person (thats right $6 a person) you'd think that the park would be able to manage the trash attracting the birds!!! There are so many other FL run state springs; you don't have to subject yourselve to carrion animals if you don't like too.

Bears really do come into your camp. Do Not leave any food or trash out. They will get into it. Use the bear proof food storage bins and the bear proof trash bins that are provided.
